Glenn turns 60...
Happy Birthday Glenn
On February 3, 2008, our own Glenn Galey turned 60 years old.
That's really not that old, for a tree or a savings bond.
We celebrated his birthday in class. It was a wonderful way for all of us to express our appreciation for all that Glenn has done in his more than half a century, plus 10 years, of teaching and being a dedicated servant to Hattiesburg and especially the 1st Baptist Church.
One (very thoughtful) gift was a specially made sign which states emphatically, "I'm 60 years old, GET OFF MY LAWN". A special lense filter was used to take this picture so that it could be seen "as through the eyes of a 60 yr old," kinda blurry and out of focus.
Another gift was a framed verse from Jeremiah,
"Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord." This truly represents Glenn. He is a man who is known for his faith, service and trust in the Lord. We are most proud to know him and to share in his walk and teachings of the Lord.
The hat was something that he wore to class himself. He must have slipped out of the house without Gayle seeing it. We assume she dresses him, since his clothes usually match.
