Windy Gap men's retreat 2006
All is well at Windy Gap.
Glenn Galey, also known as the "Mayor of Windy Gap," led a crew from Hattiesburg to the Windy Gap men's retreat over the weekend of Sept. 21 - 24, 2006.
The weekend was a gathering of men from around the nation who joined together to worship, learn and fellowship to the Glory of the Lord.
The weekend's premeire speaker was Dr. Gordon Fee , a world-reknown New Testament scholar, lectured on Paul's letter to the Philipians.
In addition to Dr. Fee's lectures, we ate, played like a bunch of school kids, worshipped, ate and then ate some more.
Windy Gap is owned and operated by Young Life. It is located fifteen minutes north of Asheville, North Carolina in the heart of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Built on 2,200 pristine acres, our beautiful setting includes amazing views of the surrounding mountains, lush forest, and Upper Flat Creek.
The 2006 session of Windy Gap was a tremendous experience for all who attended. It relaxes the mind (expands the waistline) and refreshes the spirit.
If you haven't gone...don't miss it next year's retreat scheduled for Sept 13 - 17.
And yes, Charles did consume about 1 lbs of ice cream right before this photo was taken.
